Its history:

The distant sound of the sea, crackling, cracking brushwood underfoot and the fresh, resinous scent of the pine woods on the way to the beach. This experience, so typical for the island of Rügen, provided Markus, the founder of the Island Brewery, with the inspiration for the German Coast Double IPA.

A single-hop double IPA strong, full of character, Nordically rough-edged, brewed with 100% German hops, pine cones, and pine branches. The roar of the Baltic sea captured in a glass. Resinous-spicy and the freshness of the Baltic Sea – really unique.

Sommelier's description

A rich, radiant golden colour in the glass, crowned by a fine-pored head. German hop varieties in combination with the ripening over pine cones and pine branches generates a pleasurable, thirst-quenching freshness with the appetizing, resinous spiciness of the coastal forest. Dry, bitter, Nordically rough-edged and with the freshness of the Baltic Sea.
