Oldesloer Krautertropfen is a particularly well-balanced blend of high-quality extract such as Bitter oranges, ginger roots, carob, orange blossom, true Ceylon cinnamon and cloves from East Africa but also extracts from cardamom, violet roots and allspice. Only twice purified alcohol from agricultural raw materials is used.

Best 'medicinal'

Krauterlikor is an 'acquired taste' and often even the most common ones are a little 'overdone' regarding sugar or flavours. Some are too sweet, some too intense, some both. This one is less sweet and less intense with the ingredients being fewer but more effective. It has a bitter, drying, Angostura bitters type of flavour with a drying character on the palate, but as there's less sugar and fewer ingredients of questionable medicinal value, it seems to have mostly those known to work, so it is a great 'digestif' and easier to consume. A small measure after a heavy meal seems to really help
